Student Leadership

Premised on the belief that Every Student is a Leader, Frontier Primary's Exemplary Leaders @ Frontier (eLF) programme empowers students through a progressive 3-tier leadership framework. Grounded in Stephen Covey’s 7 Habits and school core values, students cultivate self-discipline, teamwork, and a spirit of servant leadership to inspire positive change in their class, school, and community.

Frontier Primary School’s student leadership programme, Exemplary Leaders @ Frontier (eLF), is premised on the belief that ‘Every Student is a Leader’ and is designed to achieve the school’s vision of “Passionate Leaders”. 

Student Leadership Framework 


Frontier Primary School’s Student Leadership Framework provides progressive leadership opportunities for all students, with increasing responsibilities from class and CCA leadership to Prefectorial Board roles. Student leaders develop through Thought Leadership, Team Leadership, Self-Leadership and Self-Leadership with Service, guided by the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.

The student Leadership structure at Frontier Primary School is 3-tiered and guides the planning and delivery of Student Leadership Development processes and programmes to achieve student outcomes.  All students receive leadership development in three broad leadership dimensions, namely self-leadership, team leadership and thought leadership.  At every Tier, Frontierers undergo differentiated leadership development training, anchored upon the school’s core values and guided by Stephen Covey’s 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.

The 7 Habits is used as a tool for our students to cultivate self-discipline, foster teamwork and lead others with passion. These habits build strong fundamentals in students in their character and leadership competencies which are essential for managing responsibilities and guiding others effectively.

Key Student Leadership Development Programmes 

At Tier 1, all students undergo specialized training to prepare them to serve the class as a Class eLF, in roles such as the PAM Leader and CCE Leader. Class Investiture is held semestrally to formally recognise and affirm the appointment of students who have been entrusted with leadership responsibilities within the class.

Students who exhibit exemplary leadership qualities and values are selected by their teachers to become a School eLF (S-eLF), to serve and lead at the school level.

S-eLF meetings, differentiated by levels, are conducted by teacher mentors on a weekly basis, to equip the School eLF with leadership skills and competencies. These trainings develop students’ capacity to better serve others and make a positive influence within the school body and community.

School-exemplary Leaders @Frontier-Leadership through Enhanced Skills and Sensibilities (S-eLF-L.E.S.S.) comprises a series of enhanced trainings (S-eLF-L.E.S.S. A, B, C) to further hone leadership skills in our Tier 2 and 3 student leaders.

The Student Leaders Investiture is to formally recognise and affirm the appointment of School eLF and P5 CCA Leaders who have been entrusted with leadership responsibilities within the school.
