Key Approaches

Frontier Primary School’s “Thumbs Up” framework promotes positive student behaviours through Tidy Up, Clean Up, Team Up, Dress Up, Level Up, Listen Up, Line Up, Speak Up and Cheer Up, encouraging every Frontierer to “Make A Difference, Be The Difference.”
The STAR framework guides students in responding thoughtfully to situations: Stop and do not respond immediately; Think about what happened, possible responses and consequences; Act on the best option; and Reflect on the response, its impact and how to improve.
A Positive and Proactive Approach to Discipline that promotes a safe, supportive and caring environment, prevents challenging behaviours, addresses and corrects inappropriate behaviour promptly, replaces it with positive behaviours, and restores relationships affected by students’ actions.
